Steam Sign-in Information

Version 2026-07-26 · effective 2026-07-27

1. How sign-in works

NUKE opens a Steam-controlled authentication page. You authenticate directly with Steam. Steam then returns a confirmation allowing NUKE to associate the verified SteamID64 with a NUKE session.

2. What NUKE receives

NUKE receives the confirmed Steam identifier and may obtain public or specifically authorised Steam profile information needed by a feature, such as a current display name or avatar. NUKE does not receive or store your Steam password.

3. Local account comparison

The desktop launcher may detect the Steam account currently active on your device and compare its identifier with the signed-in NUKE account. This helps warn about mismatches before launching or managing a server.

4. Sessions

After successful authentication NUKE creates its own revocable session token. The session is managed separately from the Steam sign-in session and can be revoked by NUKE. Logging out revokes or removes the local session. Steam and NUKE sessions are separate.

5. Steam is independent

Steam is operated by Valve Corporation. Steam’s terms and privacy policy apply to its service. NUKE is not Valve, does not control Steam availability and is not endorsed by Valve unless expressly stated.

6. Account problems

Secure or recover your Steam account through Steam. Contact support@nukelauncher.com for NUKE session or owner-panel issues. Never send anyone your Steam password, session cookie or authentication code.
